Vantagens: Enables you to effectively manage the end to end project process in one place, from selection and authorisation through to delivery and benefits realisation. Functionality is extremely configurable and very easy to implement up and running in a matter of hours. Supplier has extensive knowledge of the core product and provides excellent level of support. Fully integrated planning functionality removes the need for separate project management software. Able to produce programme level schedules and manage inter-project dependencies. Cost effective solution for smaller companies wishing to manage their portfolio of projects.

Desvantagens: Creating site specific reports can be quite difficult. Although the data is available in the system, getting it out and displaying it in a meaningful manner does need some 'technical' expertise - either in-house or from the supplier. The software can be too flexible as there may be more than one way of doing something within the system. This can lead to confusion when showing someone how to use it. Sometimes it's good just to have one way of doing something; makes it easier to train staff.
