Also, you can set how much access you want someone to have to the info you are saving on the system. You can have multiple magayas open at the same time :) > > **Desvantagens**: Some fields has a limit on the number of characters you can put on it and sometimes everything it’s really important to be on it. The integration with the CBP website to declare goods is not that good, it’s not really easy to get into it and to download the data from magaya into the ace portal. > > I love how easy you can find things and how fast you can filter data. The software has a broad feature set covering logistics workflows, shipment tracking, and warehouse activities. For smaller companies with minimal operational complexity, it may provide a starting point for organizing freight operations. > > **Desvantagens**: As our company scaled, we experienced increasing operational and technical issues. The biggest problem was the lack of a true built-in accounting system and the unreliable synchronization with QuickBooks. Over the years we encountered constant sync failures, missing transactions, duplicate records, accounting discrepancies, and repeated system glitches that created major operational problems and required extensive manual corrections. From an IT and systems management perspective, the offboarding process was extremely concerning. After deciding to leave the platform, gaining access to our own historical operational database and records became unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming. We were informed that continued paid licensing was required even for limited read-only access to archived data accumulated over more than 10 years of operations. Communication regarding database exports, archival access, and migration procedures was frustrating and unclear. The entire transition process felt unnecessarily restrictive for a long-term customer. > > Our company used Magaya for more than 10 years as part of our freight forwarding operations. While the platform may work for very small logistics companies, we experienced serious scalability, accounting integration, and operational reliability issues as the business grew. The most disappointing part was the difficulty involved in leaving the platform and accessing our own historical records and database. From a data governance and IT management perspective, this raised major concerns regarding long-term data ownership, portability, and vendor dependency.
