Why you should also try ITGlue and start loving your JOB.

Comentários: My overall experience has always been better with ITGlue. As I am working for an MSP, I rely a lot on ITGlue for recording and accessing data/documentation.

Vantagens:

As a day-to-day user of ITGlue, in both using existing Data and documenting new data, I find it easy to work with ITGlue. I also like their efforts in merging AI capabilities to make it interesting and less and less painful to manage. I have been using Datto SaaS integration and I am happy to see they have made improvements to it and now we can see more information than before. This means they are heading in the right direction and listening to feedback. Also, I highly appreciate them bringing in Secure Credential Sharing into ITGlue, which is a must for MSPs. Now we can stop depending on third-party solutions and share credentials with peace of mind.

Desvantagens:

I believe NetworkGlue is a feature that should be built into standard ITGlue, instead of selling it separately. Again, this is just my idea.

Consolidating systems into one with IT Glue

Comentários: Combining all of our IT documentation that has been saved over the years in personal folders, network share folders and invidvidual application knowledge bases into one go-to location. This saves a ton of time when onboarding new technicians so they don't have to learn where all the varied locations for help.

Vantagens:

The biggest value we have gotten out of IT Glue is gathering all of our documentation, vendor contacts, assets and passwords into one platform. We no longer have to scour multiple network share folders to find support documentation on a particular application or send out a message to the team about who has the contact info for XYZ vendor. We have also seen a reduction in our budget spending by eliminating the need for a separate asset management tool, password vault and knowledge base platform. All 3 of those functions have now been consolidated into IT Glue for one go-to location for all of this information.

Desvantagens:

Importing existing data into IT Glue has been the most challenging piece in two ways. Because it is cloud based, the amount of time it takes to upload data by csv for example can vary greatly depending on where your upload lands in their "queue". I have had a single csv with 2 total lines of password data take upwards of 20 minutes to get the confirmation that it has been uploaded but then a second csv with 50+ lines upload within seconds. There hasn't been a way to import passwords directly into a user's personal password vault. We first have to upload them to the shared password root folder and the user has to modify them to be visible to only themselves. This leaves their personal data to be briefly open to anyone with access to the password module to click on those entries until they are moved to their private folder.

Vantagens:

The main structure and functionality is reasonably good.

Desvantagens:

The search function is very poor. Results can be varied, and it frustrates my team regularly. The lack of ability to imbed/import certain formats into the documents/articles is annoying at times.

Fantastic tool

Comentários: This is a fantastic tool that levels up MSPs and enterprise helpdesks. I love the Flexible Assets and ready access to site info.

Vantagens:

- All the info for an organization is in one place - Easy to train up new team members and make them seem like level 1.5 or 2 right out the gate - Easy to find where to add new data - Accessible from anywhere - Integrations

Desvantagens:

- Outages take our entire business offline due to the passwords being locked up. Happily, they are rare. - Kaseya support is frequently unhelpful and difficult. Fortunately, this tool is pretty self-explanatory and requires little support.

ITGlue: Multifunctional and Very Easy to Use

Vantagens:

ITGlue is so multifunctional that it can help centralize the storage of your documents, SOPs, Passwords and such. It also helps in storing asset and vendor info. Collaboration is also simplified in this platform so even if your colleagues is from another country, you are sure that you will be able to share with them the info they need in a very secure manner.

Desvantagens:

The platform can do better when it comes to personalization such as letting the admins personalize the welcome email they send to their new users. Access permissions can be expanded to have a much customized access delegations to every user.

Never looked back after switching to IT Glue

Comentários: IT Glue has been a tremendous add to our stack.

Vantagens:

- Integration with our RMM and PSA works seamlessly - Flexible assets that are ready for import have a great amount of coverage. - Reputation offers a way to motivate employees to engage with documentation

Desvantagens:

- There is not much I don't like about IT Glue, but if I had to choose something it would be the ability to have a templatized environment for different typed of clients.

Centralized Documentation Solution

Comentários: My overall experience with itglue is that it is the best Documentation tool in the market.

Vantagens:

ITGlue has been our tool for years. I like that There are very little limitation and documentation is easier than ever.

Desvantagens:

The 2 things that I do not like are the mobile app and that there is no desktop solution for uploading files etc.

Why should you pick IT Glue over anything else? Is it worth it?

Comentários: Apart from the significant pros I have mentioned above, we recently started using IT Glue check lists to eliminate the requirement of painfully maintaining documents especially when we are doing new users/leavers or other work that requires sustaining a checklist.

Vantagens:

I like how it integrates with almost all of the other systems used by MSPs across the globe, bringing all information into a single space for easy visibility and management.I like how it lets you link flexible assets with each other. For example, if you add an application to ITGlue, you can connect all related documents and configuration items to that specific application. So, when someone looks at it, at a glance they get a picture of what else is linked with it without scratching their head or wasting time to figure out related items.Also, I like how it lets control access to certain information. You can decide who has access to certain information. This is an essential feature in the MSP space when security is a major concern because not everybody needs access to everything.

Desvantagens:

I would like to see an improved version of Datto SaaS integration rather than just displaying a summary of the SaaS backups on the landing page for each client.

Powerful without having to retool how you work

Comentários: Overall very happy with ITGlue after years of using other solutions and fighting them it is nice to have something that works well without having to beat it up.

Vantagens:

Being able to document on-the-fly with as much or as little detail as available in the moment is the best aspect. Other solutions will yell if you dont give them enough detail on an object when you create it. ITGlue gives you the freedom to document as much or as little as you want, and the ability to organize in a way that makes sense without just leaving you in an unstructured environment.

Desvantagens:

Mobile app definitely needs improvement. It's better to just log into the web interface on your phone than it is to use the mobile app.

IT Glue Review

Vantagens:

It is a great product that does exactly what it is supposed to do and integrates with all our other utilities.

Desvantagens:

It logs us out of the browser too often when we are idle.

Secure and reliable

Comentários: We have been using IT Glue for a very long time and we haven't had any major issues. Our client's data is kept secure.

Vantagens:

IT Glue is great for keeping all your client documentation secure and in an orderly way. The integration with our PSA and RMM solutions ensure that everything is kept up to date and we don't have to update everything in 3 separate places.

Desvantagens:

The add-ons. We are paying for the top license yet there re still more add-ons that have to be purchased separately if you want to utilize all aspects of the software.

Awsome tool

Comentários: I use IT Glue daily and it is an amazing, easy and lightweight tool.

Vantagens:

I like the flexibility and ease of use the most. Plus, the integrations with other tools are a plus.

Desvantagens:

I like the mobile app less. It needs to improve mainly the design.

Safe storage for all your important passwords

Vantagens:

Having a safe offsite location that we can all access at different levels of access for all our critical passwords, contact data, disaster recovery planning and more is such a fundamental key part of any IT infrastructure. IT Glue provides exactly that, and does it very well.

Desvantagens:

It is not the cheapest solution but its the best for a reason and you'll be glad you used it if the unthinkable happens and you find yourself in disaster recovery scenario

IT Glue - Quality platform for MSPs

Comentários: Pre-Kaseya acquisition, IT Glue was awesome as a company. Since then, there has been a lot of churn from a people perspective, but the product continues to be very good.

Vantagens:

IT Glue was easy to set up overall, the most time we spent was entering existing data. My team liked the functionality and how items could be linked to eliminate searching around for documents and then credentials, etc.

Desvantagens:

Feature-wise, I think IT Glue is great. Unfortunately, our account reps change constantly and seem to be most interested in upselling or cross-selling over promoting new features.

Vantagens:

I love all the features, they are all good and unique, and everyday use

Desvantagens:

nothing much, because it is useful for me and in out company.

Simple Knowledgebase management

Vantagens:

Simple and lightweight. Page loading is fast so it does not feel like a pain while working through IT Glue

Desvantagens:

Search sometimes breaks and does not give intended results though I know what I am searching is in it.

Great product & easy to use!

Comentários: Its great and easy to use and has a lot of room for detailed documentation for everything you need.

Vantagens:

IT Glue is awesome for documentation. Especially for me as part of a managed service provider. Its well organized and you can easily look up passwords for every customer you might need.

Desvantagens:

I used IT Glue for over a month now but cant talk about any major flaws because there are none as far as i can tell.

MSP Use Case for IT Glue

Comentários: Ease of use and access coupled with a great price point when bundling this with BMS and VSA makes this an easy win for all MSP's ranging in size from small to large.

Vantagens:

It allows us to have an easy to access central location for all of our documentation, across all of our clients and prospective clients. Staff understand how to pull value from this tool with minimal training.

Desvantagens:

There are features within IT Glue that are well thought out, but perhaps not applicable specifically to our workflows. It can be a challenge to understand how to use these features in the best way as there's not really a "This is best practice" approach for these items.

The glue that holds your MSP together

Comentários: This has been an incredible experience, though we did have to customize things fairly heavily to make it work for us, and most importantly, import from our old documentation engine. Still, that team had no issues getting it done in the end.

Vantagens:

I've worked for a few MSPs, and documentation solutions have ranged from average to awful, even to non-existent. IT Glue was like a breath of fresh air. It's worth every penny we pay.

Desvantagens:

We can't include images or videos in articles that we write.

IT Glue - Putting the IT in "It Just Works!"

Comentários: Phenomenal. The search feature among folders may sound harsh, but that is truly the ONLY gripe I have had with IT Glue. I never heard of it before I started using it, but now I don't think I will be able to work anywhere else without it. It is that important to my daily workflow.

Vantagens:

The encrypted password storage and the features of this storage are impeccable. Truly couldn't ask for a more efficient and easier-to-user tool that makes my organization's work processes significantly easier to manage. The search functions among tenants and passwords make using this tool necessary, rather than "just another option amongst all the other password storage software."

Desvantagens:

I've mentioned it previously in my review, but I will mention it again here. Searching Documents by their name/title - specifically if those documents are within folders for organizational use - is next to impossible. Since the search function is so key to the ease and efficiencies we have found by using this product, the fact that folders complicate this feature has forced us to remove any and all folders. Why spend time paging through folders trying to remember what categorical property we assigned it, when we can use the search bar and narrow the options down to 10 or less options?
