I’m serious. They terminated our account because we sell research peptides — completely legal products, clearly labeled “research use only.” They didn’t look at our compliance, our disclaimers, or how we actually run the business. They just decided our entire industry was suddenly beneath them and cut us off. This should scare every business owner. Klaviyo is happy to take your money, let you pour time and customer data into their platform, build all your automations and flows — then yank the rug out whenever their risk team gets nervous. No warning, no real appeal, just “we don’t like your industry anymore.” A real partner would tell you the rules upfront instead of letting you become dependent and then discarding you. Klaviyo doesn’t do that. They collect your revenue while quietly deciding whether you’re still acceptable. The software works fine until the moment they decide you’re a liability. Then you’re gone. If your business is in any category they might someday call “high risk,” understand this clearly: your customer communications and revenue can be shut down overnight by some internal policy change you have zero control over. Klaviyo showed us exactly why you should never put your business at the mercy of a company that treats paying customers as disposable. Keep backups. Keep your data. And pick a provider that doesn’t play moral high ground with your livelihood. I would not recommend Klaviyo to anyone who actually needs to rely on their service. > > Horrible.
