Comentários: Solid work order management.
Vantagens: We manage all the work orders for our facility management department through TMA. It tracks scheduling, work progress and captures the labor cost for each work order. The report feature let us customize reports to fit our needs.
Desvantagens: This is not the most user friendly or intuitive system I have used but I think that is more a function of the complexity of the processes it tracks rather than a fault of the program. Solid training and good administration are essential to get the most out of TMA.
TMA is an out dated and cumbersome system designed for something other than Clinical Engineering

Comentários: It is keystroke and mouse click intensive, often requiring several levels of open pages to HUNT for information. It uses nomenclature that is not typically used in hospitals let alone clinical engineering. To anyone who has been using TMA for the past thirteen years, I'm certain that they have grown used to the terminology however, anyone who has used actual CMMS's that were designed for Clinical Engineering would probably tell you within minutes that this (TMA) was designed for something like a washer and dryer sales and service store. There are repair codes that have been carried over from the older TMA that have absolutely no meaning to anyone unless they were versed in the older version. Even searching through them is a time consuming exercise of one's patience. ' Reporting is at best, early 2000 technology often times requiring other programs in a separate window or even opening another file to access data. Cut and paste calibration and test equipment data instead of the software tracking and being available while fluidly working and completing tasks without time robbing distractions. The reports are quite random and often customized for each user or supervisor instead of being pre-generated by the software vendor to meet our industry standards.
