Time blocking not available: there is a workaround though, you can drag your tasks on your Apple Calendar app but it's less effective than a proper time blocking functionality It misses also a kind of assistant to help you out daily with planning and review to better stick with GTD. If you are not disciplined enough on reviews, it can be quickly out of control. Daily/monthly stats on how you perform could be quite nice (like Todoist) > > It has been great\! It would take no time for someone new to the software to get up and running with it. As a basic task manager, it is perfectly adequate. For instance, why no cascading tasks/dependencies? I'm a GTD person, and Things just didn't have all the layers needed to execute GTD digitally. I eventually found a competitor that was clearly designed to work for GTD workflows and abandoned Things. Unfortunately, I had already sunk the costs of paying for the desktop, iPad, AND iPhone apps for Things because everyone else I worked with was using it and seemed to love it. I use color codes a lot, and tags as well – tags are great in Things, but I could have used more ways to separate tasks and projects so it would be easy to get a sense of what needs to be done at a glance.
