Por necessitar um mínimo de conhecimento em comercio eletrônico e programação você pode ficar travado em algumas questões, não é tão intuitivo e como é uma plataforma de código aberto, é sempre bom você ficar de olho de onde você baixa os plugins para não infectar o seu site ou até mesmo quebrar ele.

Nestes casos, um backup atualizado é fundamental para qualquer instalação do sistema.

Acho que os add-ons são excepcionais, mas podiam ter alguns já inclusos no plugin e outros serem vendidos em pacotes (bundles) com preços mais acessíveis. Pro Brasileiro, como costumo dizer, fica puxado lidar com dollar.

Dentre diversas plataformas, o WooCommerce foi o que menos me serviu, dado que a configuração do mesmo não é fácil, e não fica explicito na hora do cadastro cobranças realizadas pelo programa, não volto a utilizar e não recomendaria a ninguém.

Vantagens:

Installing it and keeping it updated is extremely easy because it is found on any hosting that runs WordPress; there are many third party extensions in the Marketplace to add any functionality required, a Google search helps to find the required extension and lately several payment platforms have plugins to install it and you can use it with WooCommerce.

Desvantagens:

Some extensions or add-ons are expensive and have no trial version and in some cases are developed for a specific version of woocommerce.Adding products manually is tedious, but luckily there are templates to upload products, but they are very complicated to fill in until you do trial and error, it uses its own ID which does not allow you to edit it or understand how to configure it if you need to integrate with any CRM.

Decent Product

Comentários: My overall experience on a scale of 1-10 I’d say is 7. It can be used for a small business that doesn’t deal with hefty transactions daily

So I used woocomerce to receive payments for an e-learning platform that I created on wordpress. It integrates very easy with wordpress and has a decent interface on the back end. It has a mobile app that allows you view your orders and in a way categorize them and a few reminder notes to each order. It allows you integrate various payment gateways like stripe and paypal and plenty more via use or account authentication or through the use of api access keys. Its a decent app that performs its job effectively at the back end

Desvantagens:

I have to say my main con is the load time it takes when charging a card and another downside is the frequent updates you have to keep up with on wordpress in other for it to keep functioning as it should. The mobile app is also a bit limited in functionality but then its nice when you get an order and get notified via the app notification. It also crashes when a lot of users try to purchase all at the same time.

Problems with payment gateways after updates

It was easy to use and the layout of the e-shop was good. It could be customized with Elementor to present my products (courses).

Desvantagens:

It has issues after updates and clients could not pay at checkout. Especially after a WordPress upgrade it has severe issues.

Though some addon might be pricey, you can get a store running smoothly without paying for extra addons. You have total control over your store, it is great for SEO and offers excellent functionality.

Woocommerce is open source and accessible to as many people that can install Wordpress on their hosting account. When compared to other ecom platforms there are no monthly fees associated with Woocommerce and it is suitable for use whether you are creating a simple store or a large store. You can also edit and customize it to your taste or branding with the help of many readily built templates. You can create a store with different product variants, easily manage your inventory, add your own SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) number to each product, and include several payment options. Woocommerce is also suitable whether you are selling physical or digital products.

Desvantagens:

Requires some extra plugins to optimally maximize its features some of which are not be free. Requires some level of technicality to setup.

Comentários: The vast majority of plugins and extensions available to enhance the already smooth experience has made WooCommerce the de-facto standard across all eCommerce platforms that we have helped to build.WooCommerce is easy to set-up from scratch, edit and customise to match website design and also easy to scale with a growing business. We are in debt to our service providers who have supported us along the journey but all of this wouldn't have been possible if we hadn't put in the time to set up an eCommerce store.

When we had a few services we could sell, we looked at setting up an eCommerce store. Since our website already ran on WordPress, WooCommerce was the #1 suggestion. It was relatively easy to set up and ran without much trouble on a low-spec server. This meant a lot to us in terms of money saved on expensive infrastructure right from the beginning. Over time we have been able to scale our business and add more features.

Desvantagens:

There are times in the early days that we struggled with caching issues. That was more of an oversight from our dev team that was easily fixed with a few lines of code. The experience has been great otherwise.

The hardest aspect is that we need a website in order to use WooCommerce. It would be fantastic if we could make a free website with WooCommerce and immediately begin listing our product. This functionality, however, is now unavailable and likely will remain so for the foreseeable future.

The easy (and controlled) way to do ecommerce.

Comentários: We are greatly satisfied using woocoomerce, having bought our stores from places like Squarespace, Wix and shopify we are now completely satisfied with the scalability and control we. have over our online business.

We liked the most the ability to integrate with different essential tools that we use for our business, shippíng solutions, payment solutions, inventory solutions, etc. One stop shop!

Desvantagens:

We had some issues with the learning curve at the beginning, but to be honest its just a matter of getting into it, reading and experimenting.

Display of products in any page/post of site with shortcode. Filtering options (based on parameters like pricing, popularity). Ease with which Stripe, PayTm and other payment gateways can be integrated.

Desvantagens:

While free WooCommerce plugin can be easily activated and installed which by itself is self-sufficient for someone just started with an online store, they apparently do not have a bundle subscription plan for all their pro plugins built on the top of WooCommerce plugin. Buying each plugin as part of customization can cost starting with around 70$ a year. So things will start becoming costly as one expands.

Great but it may get expensive

Comentários: I like it very much, but every time a client needs a different function there is an add-on to pay. It would be better to have like an agency full-addon licence.

But there are tons of addons and plugins that make it very complex to do less basic stuff and may cost you a lot.

WooCommerce for Downloadable Products and Subscriptions

Comentários: WooCommerce is an excellent solution for E-Commerce and can do anything you want it to. That can get overwhelming at times, as there as sooo many options to dig through. But, on the plus side, you can find an add-on or find a plug-in that will solve any issue you have.

Vantagens:

I moved to WooCommerce (from a combination of other plug-ins) because I wanted one platform that I could sell downloads ala carte, and sell subscriptions. I previously used multiple different platforms and solutions to make managing downloads and subscriptions happen, and Woo allows me to manage all products and offerings I have in one place.

Desvantagens:

Moving subscriptions from an existing plug-in with active subscriptions through Stripe to WooCommerce was a big process. I did a lot of research and reached out to various developers and was looking at a $4,000 plus custom development support solution to make the transition happen. I did enough research and testing that I was able to make the transition happen over a weekend, without any additional support. In addition to the struggle of transitioning subscriptions, I learned that WooCommerce doesn't use Stripe's "subscription" feature but instead creates a new charge each month, until the customer cancels. So metrics are very difficult.

Best and most widely used WordPress E-Commerce Plugin

Comentários: I am really happy with overall experience of using Woo Commerce for online E Commerce store.
Free version fulfills most of small startup business requirements.Only hosting domain and other charges are needed to setup your own Business or online store website.Configuration is effortless but may be confusing for a total non tech newbie who use shopify only.Nonetheless after some practice it becomes a piece of cake.It is a much secure platform with helpful plugins to for add-on functionality.I would really recommend it for online E-Commerce store specially which are already running on WordPress CMS.

First of all it is plugin in word press environment which makes it m first and only choice as the best for making e-commerce functionality website.It has all the functions to run an online store easily with out much technical knowledge.Various plugin supplement and extend the Woo Commerce functionalities even further beyond.Payment processing and order management is handled efficiently and effectively.Too many functionalities like bulk upload,shipping management, contact info, payment management and etc make life easier to much extent like designing forms, creating custom checkout field , shop page custom price filter and minimum or max product quantities...etc.

Desvantagens:

Not much user friendly like shopify and other competitor.Still just little practice needed to learn it.Its related add-on plugins can be expensive.I had not faced any major technical issue using it.

Best e-commerce option by mixed feelings

Comentários: I use WooCommerce daily for multiple clients' websites. My clients are happy with their e-commerce functionality and I rarely encounter issues from the webmaster side of things. You have the option to customize it to the extreme, or if your selling needs are basic, you can setup an e-commerce site quickly and very easily.

Vantagens:

First, it's free. That's not entirely true though because anything additional you want to add will likely cost money; most add-ons are $79. Still even if you get two add-ons, $160 a year is a drop in the bucket compared to most other e-commerce. The MAIN reason I use and recommend Woo is it's compatibility. Because it's so widely used, it can integrate with anything and everything. Every bank has a payment gateway that connects to WooCommerce (via plugin - sometimes free, sometimes $79). It's relatively user-friendly. When you get into the settings though, there are tabs across the top, but then there are little tiny links within the tabs sometimes that aren't easily spotted.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes it feels like a monopoly - like you use WooCommerce or Shopify and the later of the two is dreadful. The WordPress community is incredibly helpful, but you have to know where to go to ask for help.

Light, stable and affordable

Comentários: My experience with wordpress could not be better, it is light and can be easily run on cheaper hosting.

Vantagens:

The best quality of wordpress in front of its opponents is really the huge community that makes us find plugins for practically everything we want to do, and even when we don't find it we can find someone who is willing to do it for an affordable price.

Desvantagens:

Plugins are constantly developing and can sometimes create some incompatibilities, which is normal, but the speed with which these problems are corrected is another strength of wordpress since all systems are subject to problems but quick solutions I find with wordpress.

WooCommerce is a must have for any small business

Very easy to setup and navigate. WooCommerce allows for integration to Quickbooks, which saves a boatload of time and cuts down on potential errors.

Desvantagens:

I don't currently have any "cons" for WooCommerce. I have not experienced any issues. Very satisfied!

It's free and easily integrated with Wordpress. Most templates have specific pages created for Woocommerce. Functionality is easily expanded with numerous plugins available

Comentários: WooCommerce just helps me to create every type of feature-rich conversation-focused eCommerce website that can expensive when creating it without available options like Shopify. Although using WordPress requires some basic level of tech knowledge and to be a nice googler because you have to Google a lot of stuff to find the perfect solution and because of Free support it can take a few days of WooCommerce Officials to help you out. But I never needed their support because Google already had every solution I was looking for.

Vantagens:

Many businesses offer easy integration with WooCommerce, It is very easy to understand and use with all the tutorials and documentation, even a beginner can configure it. Being so much customizable is what I like the most in WooCommerce, You can use either Free or Paid plugins from the WordPress Repository and integrate with WooCommerce to meet any of your needs, Whether it is marketing, optimization, sale or design changes. You can almost make any type of eCommerce website with WooCommerce using the available plugins and have the best conversion rate with optimized checkout with different Plugins

Desvantagens:

Its design looks a bit out-dated. We have to use different plugins to extend the functionality that some of them also use server resources. Its own dashboard is very very out-dated, It's very bad but fortunately, we can now use WooCommerce Admin but it still needs to improve as much as Shopify. Some of WooCommerce scripts take a lot of time loading of the front-end. For which there is no option to optimize either disable of the front pages where it is not needed. WooCommerce must update their Front-End and Back-End to look more modern and simple because people just hate the old one. Official Support can tke a long time to reach you if you're stuck at some point.

Comentários: Having built many WooCommerce stores for our web clients, it's by far more extensible and flexible than Shopify, et al. You're not locked into one mode of operating, which is important for many businesses with unique needs. With WooCommerce your online store can change as your business needs change. Virtually anything is possible, given you have the technical skill or can afford a developer to implement it.

WooCommerce is the most powerful e-commerce platform for any small to medium-sized business who can't afford to custom code their own store from scratch. If you need features not found in Shopify, Squarespace or Wix, WooCommerce is the answer. With its galaxy of third-party plugins and extensive online support, there's virtually no limit to what you can build.

Desvantagens:

Building and managing a WooCommerce store can be difficult, depending on your technical skills and the complexity of your store. Also, while there are many free WooCommerce plugins, there are many more that require paid subscriptions. These subscriptions can add up. Frankly, if your needs are basic, review Shopify and other SaaS e-commerce platforms first before considering self-hosting with WooCommerce.

WooCommerce: Not the easiest to setup, but by far the most customizable

Comentários: Before implementing WooCommerce, we were always "making do" with the solutions that other platforms would offer. A lot of times this felt that we were not only rationalizing/making excuses for those platforms' limitations, but we were overall just settling for a less than ideal fix. WooCommerce has allowed us to offer the complete online shopping experience that we've been striving to deliver to our clients.

After having used many other eCommerce platforms in the past (Square, Shopify, Wix etc...), I am left blown away by how completely customizable WooCommerce is. There is literally nothing that can not be done with this software - it's just a matter of figuring out how to get there. You want different shipping tables based on user IP location? No problem. Looking to have suggested items displayed depending on the purchase order? You got it! The one downside to WooCommerce is figuring out how to correctly dial in the settings to achieve the desired result. This can take a bit of time, but luckily WooCommerce's documentation and online tutorials are extremely helpful and plentiful. After having experienced the limitations of many other eCom "solutions" it truly is refreshing to have an option as robust as WooCommerce.

Desvantagens:

As I mentioned above, dialing in the correct settings can be a bit laborious, but if you are patient and willing to do a little bit of research, there really is no limitation to what you can build.
