Powerful Enough for Large Companies

Comentários: Paying employees weekly or biweekly has been simplified.

Vantagens:

I've used a few payroll companies during my time but ADP always seems to be the most dependable and reliable.

Desvantagens:

With convenience is going to come cost. However, the newer level additions have made programs more customizable and tailored to individual business owners.

Easy Management

Comentários: Over all its a great system that is easy to operate on a day to day basis and to stay complain with needed paperwork.

Vantagens:

I love the HR, Payroll features the most. I also love that you can start an employee and have them update any need information remotely.

Desvantagens:

The reports can be a lot to take in and we have to add 2 payroll reports together when we do quarterly reports as some are from the previous year.

Run ADP - Payroll Review

Vantagens:

Worked consistently. Very low downtime. Transactions and reporting were smooth and convenient/

Desvantagens:

The customer support for worker’s compensation, 401k, and payroll issues was less than stellar. Wait times from hours to days were common. Workers comp support was horrendous.

Excellent Company

Comentários: Excellent. [sensitive content hidden] made the process easy and was involved with every step of our integration.

Vantagens:

I have used ADP on and off with companies I have owned or been an officer of since 1997. The company and the people who work here are knowledgeable and good people to work with.

Desvantagens:

The software is not well put together and doesn't flow naturally. Additionally, screens will freeze on you and you will have to start over.

Great Customer Support

Comentários: Overall my experience with Run by ADP has been very positive. I will continue to use this software and will recommend to other business associates.

Vantagens:

The best part about Run by ADP is the customer support. They are available and have short wait times to speak with someone. They are super helpful and take the time to walk me through the software functionality. Additionally the software is relatively user friendly and simple to deploy. It makes payroll so simple!

Desvantagens:

There isn't anything that I don't like about the software. It has the features and functions that I look for in a payroll processing system.

Mostly Easy to Use

Comentários: Helping us keep in compliance with State law.

Vantagens:

Timekeeping feature is a great timesaver.

Desvantagens:

There are still glitches with changing employee status (say from contractor to full time employee) Have had to call the help desk EVERY time I do this.

ADP is great product for any company

Comentários: I have four companies that use ADP run and by far ADP is the easiest and most reliable application i have used for processing.

Vantagens:

It was easy to learn and setup. Customer support was outstanding.

Desvantagens:

It doesnt always sync up correctly with quickbooks

ADP RUN for a Law Firm

Comentários: Overall ADP run has allowed us to spend time on our business as when working with ADP the system is easy to use.

Vantagens:

One stop shop for anything payroll in one portal. Simple and easy to use. Onboarding is quick

Desvantagens:

It’s hard to find a con as I’ve had a great experience with ADP.

Payroll made easier

Comentários: I find it easy to use and customer service responsive.

Vantagens:

It is user friendly. I can find information needed with ease. It has an app for the staff to use for taxes and timekeeping.

Desvantagens:

Some of the new safeguards were not working well because it now requires an email verification that was taking to long to get to my email. They seem to be better now.

Great Payroll System

Vantagens:

Easy to use to pay employees or contractors via direct deposit, they file all the important reports and make sure taxes are taken out and filed as well.

Desvantagens:

Sometimes the system can be glitchy and difficult to set up new states.

Run Powered by ADP

Comentários: I am glad to see that more attention has been given to the app. I used to have a lot of frustration with the app and have not seen as many problems as in the past. Please continue making improvements to the app!

Vantagens:

It does the work of payroll for you! Storing a template for payroll, paying taxes for our business, easy to use reporting are just a few of the extremely helpful things Run ADP does. Love the app that is available!

Desvantagens:

When I to the Time Management area and it comes up in another screen, I find it very annoying that I cannot easily return to the Run program. Once I sign out of Time Management and try to go back to Run, it says I am not authorized to view this page. Would be very nice to return to Run without having to sign back in.

Fully Featured But....

Comentários: RUN is mostly fine and gets the job done. It can be improved by allowing more self-service options for adjusting payroll. Also, they do not offer a service to mail 1099 forms to contractors individually. They mail the forms to the business owner and expect them to mail it individually. This seems to be something they should offer pretty easily.

Vantagens:

The service technically has everything you need to run payroll pretty easily on a regular basis. You can pay both w2 employees and contractors with a few clicks.

Desvantagens:

To edit a payroll that has been submitted but not yet processed, you literally need to call ADP customer support. There is no way to adjust payroll once it has been submitted on a self serve basis. This is very annoying. Also, the reporting isnt as intuitive as it should be. They mostly want you to use their canned reporting. They do not offer the option to mail 1099 forms to your contractors indiivudally.

HR and Payroll Support

Comentários: I have worked with ADP for over 4 years now and anytime someone tries to get me to switch to their company, they just do not measure up to ADP Run.

Vantagens:

User friendly. Reports at your fingertips and if you cannot find a report just call the customer service line and they will create or walk you through pulling the report. Their customer service team has always been top notch and helpful. For forms for new employees they have it. Need Policy and Procedures for your office they have it. There is a world of resources through this software that you can easily get to by computer or lets say your out of the office and need to run payroll, no problem they have an app for that as well.

Desvantagens:

I honestly do not have a complaint. The only thing I could suggest is on the Payroll Moblie App it would be helpful if I could make employee changes without having to log in to a computer but definitely not a deal breaker.

ADP Payroll

Vantagens:

It makes tracking wages and employment records easy to track.

Desvantagens:

Some documents are tricky to locate. Each pay stub has to be downloaded individually unless put together in a custom reports package.

Fantastic Program - Too Big for Small Business

Comentários: If not for the higher cost, we would still be with RUN ADP and I highly recommend. The program was really solid and the customer service outstanding. Cost was the downside for us but I believe they may now have some options for smaller businesses that may fit better from a cost perspective.

Vantagens:

Run ADP was intuitive, easy to navigate and use, even for a non-HR person. I was able to take care of payroll quickly and efficiently, without any of the bugs or quirks that some of the other payroll software programs seem to have. If I had a question or needed help with anything, their customer service was available and incredibly helpful.

Desvantagens:

This software was just far too robust for our small business. It had lots of bells and whistles that we just didn't need or use. The cost was much higher than other payroll programs and ultimately, we left Run by ADP for a smaller company with a simpler program at a more streamlined price.

As A Small Business That Just Started in December 2019, I Feel Taken Advantage Of!

Comentários: I just wanted to know how much ADP would cost. Upon talking to the saleswoman over the phone she basically pushed me into going with ADP because there was a promotion going on at the time. From the moment I began using it things have not gone smoothly. I was hit with a couple of NSFs which I admit is my fault because of the bank I am currently using. But also I experienced financial hardship due to the pandemic. I was unable to afford ADP for the month of April. Because of this, they deactivated my account without any real warning. The thing is, the account was still functional, so I even added the time management feature for my employees. I was super excited about that. When I got my PPP loan, I immediately called ADP and scheduled payment that I owed so that my payroll feature would not be suspended. That's when I found out that the account had been deactivated. Instead of reactivating, they offered me a new one and an even bigger discount. But they realized that they had to file Q1 taxes. So they closed the new account, voided the payroll for that account, and reactivated the first account I had. Which is what should have been done in the first place. I was advised to use another method to pay my employees for the pay period until they get my account in order. Somehow, today, I receive an invoice for the payroll I ran even though it was voided. I am being charged for services that I didn't even get to use. Every time I turn around I am having to give them more and more $

Vantagens:

It's very comprehensive and easy to use. Initially seems like you can get a good deal and that the product is worth the price.

Desvantagens:

It turns out to be too expensive and it's like they don't get that they charge nearly $400 a month while other companies charge $40. They are not friendly enough for new small businesses and offer no flexibility during hardship such as the pandemic. I ended up having to shell out hundreds of dollars just because I couldn't afford to use the software. When dealing with customer service, things also tend to get unorganized and confusing when they don't have to be.

ADP Canada Review

Comentários: Again this review is for ADP Canada vs ADP U.S. but in short: If you find another option, go with another option.

Vantagens:

Once I had run payroll a few times it's easy enough to use. I don't use their HR support or anything but calculating payroll is straightforward. It's great that the tax totals are calculated automatically and they file year-end paperwork for you.

Desvantagens:

I'll state that this review is for ADP Canada (vs ADP U.S.) I'm with a very small U.S. based nonprofit with just just a couple employees in Canada, and switched to ADP from calculating taxes manually. Using ADP is the lesser of two evils but it hasn't been a great experience. I run payroll semi-monthly and once, for no apparent reason (their rep couldn't explain why it happened) they initiated the second half of the month's payrun at the same time as the first, and charged us a $150 fee to do so, which they never refunded. Their chat support is helpful but if it's "unavailable" you have to call and it's always a 1-2 hour wait. You can request a call back but any time I do that they never actually call me back. The interface is also pretty low-tech.

Once set-up ...works good

Comentários: Run is a overall a good software because it allows me to focus on running my business and not keeping track of time and submitting tax reports. Before using this software I was spending hours each month capturing time accurately, saving it into spreadsheets, paying my team and filing reports.

Vantagens:

Once set-up, this system is a good way to easily manage my payroll. The Run software integrates with the ADP Time and Attendance software which is how my employees clock-in and out each day. I hit 1 button and the software automatically brings in the total hours worked for each person and auto calculates if there is overtime due. The software also allows me to have a file for each employee. Finally, the system captures everything so pulling reports is simple. I can run payroll reports for the whole team or individual employees with the blink of an eye.

Desvantagens:

The worst part of this software is getting it set-up. Once I agreed to purchase I got connected with a software installation person. This sounded great except she was in there over seas call center and we had a slight language barrier. It took much longer than it should have but we did get through it. Unfortunately this poor customer service has continued for the whole 2 years I have been on the software. However, typically things works correctly so thankfully I am only calling for support a few times a year.

Top of the Line Payroll Processing

Comentários: We love that employees have their own portals to check their deposits and see past pay stubs. No more requests for copies of lost pay stubs, or people wanting to see details. It frees management up to grow our business and focus on our customers, while keeping employees informed and happy.

Vantagens:

Our company started using ADP many, many years ago. Back when you had to call in on the telephone and give employee hours. In the years since we have tried other services, just to see if we were truly getting the best service out there. And I feel confident saying that yes, RUN by ADP is the best payroll service out there. It's simple to use, efficient and simply does what you need it to do for payroll. Direct deposit or printed checks, your employees have options.

Desvantagens:

We tried using their timeclock add-on and were not a fan. But it was a trial and easy to return.

Difficult to Navigate

Vantagens:

Simple to run payroll, and easy to find certain reports

Desvantagens:

Support is very difficult to find, the payroll grid is so big you need to scroll sideways if you have several deductions or additions for payroll. Also, adding a new employee requires certain points of information and will not let you send to the employee to complete until you have all the information, there is also no way to resend to the employee without deleting and restarting the whole process.

One of the best platforms out of all payroll processing companies for small businesses

Comentários: There's a reason ADP is the biggest name out there. They haven't let me down yet, but I'll certainly post if they do!

Vantagens:

the software seems very secure and has a lot of measures that are taken. Very easy to use, even for technologically inept people like me. The rep that sold me the software was extremely thorough. Has a lot of features for payroll processing, tax reporting, and human resources features, and even workers comp integration. Simply put, this software integrates nearly all financial and human resource aspects I need as a small business owner, other than banking. It even makes it easier to offer retirement benefits for my employees. It's not the cheapest software out there, but it is 100% worth the money.

Desvantagens:

On occasion, it logs me out or glitches if I process my payroll on wednesday (apparently that's the busiest day to process so the system gets overloaded). Sometimes gets annoying to have to make small changes or customize reports, but that's just part of the business.

RUN is Awesome!

Comentários: As a small business with 3-5 employees, you might not think of ADP RUN, but it's great! I deal with customer service weekly and use the RUN app almost every day. It is an excellent tool for my small business!

Vantagens:

I have been using RUN since 2009 and what I most like is how user-friendly and easy it is to use as well as providing detailed easy to manage and download reports. Also, RUN provided all the needed records for the cares act(PPP), which was a huge help with the loan process. Lastly, I also frequently use the mobile app, a great feature I do enjoy. Very happy to refer RUN!

Desvantagens:

As of yet, not much! RUN has been a great tool for many years and have not found anything I didn't find helpful.

Weekly Payroll

Comentários: It takes me less than a minute to process my weekly payroll. Very simple to use and with ADP dealing with taxes, a section 125 deduction, and local taxes, it let's me focus on my business.

Vantagens:

Easy to use. Easy to set up. Reasonable Cost. Handles my federal, state, and local taxes. I can do my payroll from just about anywhere.

Desvantagens:

Could offer the ability to customize reports for accounting. I don't need to integrate the payroll into my G/L, but formatting reports to allow for easier journal entries would be nice.

All-inclusive payroll solution

Vantagens:

ADP offers to take a lot of the work off your hands - 401k administration, tax reporting, new hire reporting, compliance testing. Makes it easy to have remote employees in multiple states.

Desvantagens:

The interface is old. Very text-based. Also, there are almost too many ADP solutions, employees get confused which site they are supposed to be logging into. ADP solutions also seem to cross wires here and there because there has been a few times where I have logged into RUN and it brings me to a random ADP page. I try again and it works correctly.
