Comentários: The ease of keeping track of the lifecycle of our matters makes this well worth it. I spent hours following the tutorials on how to customize it to tailor it to my specific practice. But I think they purposely make them a little vague so you'll have to resort to hiring a consultant to tailor the program. Overall it's totally worth it, but I wish it was more user friendly to customize myself.

Vantagens: This software is an elegant solution for volume practices that categorizes matters in useful and dynamic ways, and is interactive so you can keep track of the progress of each individual matter.

Desvantagens: It's expensive to customize because you have to pay for a consultant to work with you on it.

Comentários: We have been able to get our bills out more quickly. Information is so much easier to find in Action Step than in the program we used before. The search function is powerful.

Vantagens: The program is very configurable. What that means is that there is a higher learning curve than other cloud based programs, but I am willing to spend the time to learn if the product provides what I need. I searched specifically for a program that would allow me to handle my front office (client and case management) and back office (financial accounting) needs, and this does the job. The Enhanced Billing Module was vast improvement over the previous billing capability. The user interface is clean and the response rate is rapid. My bookkeeper loves it.

Desvantagens: The reports list needs to be more user friendly, and there needs to be more standard accounting reports available. The CRM features are not very well suited to my practice. The creation of a "workflow" is very complicated.

Comentários: If you want a practice management system that actually will ensure you do not miss a step when undertaking a certain piece of legal work, then ActionStep is your best solution. I have tried other practice management solutions, but none of them take the unique approach of allowing you to drive each of your client matters in a series of logical steps/actions so you do not miss any essential task when carrying out a legal process. The cons are that it can take some time to set up your own processes. There is a fair bit of learning involved and the user guide can be hard to follow at times. But they are developing this continually and when in doubt you can raise a help ticket and their team get back to you fairly promptly. If you do not love setting up systems, I would engage someone to do this for you (I believe they have consultants who can help with this). The payoff of having a checklisted process with powerful document assembly is huge and will really make your practice more efficient. I do not run a trust account so cannot comment on the accounting feature, but I do generate my bills and this is fairly simple. I can generate a bill and email it to a client in a matter of minutes. And unlike other practice management systems, I can use my exact .docx template as the basis for my bill - I am not limited by a particular bill format. The integration with Xero also works well for me. I would have given this five stars if there was better integration with other apps, like Gmail, but I understand that integration with Zapier is forthcoming in Q1 of 2016 which will make this a very powerful system. Looking forward to that enhanced capability.' Overall, I have been using the system for several years and would not move to anything else because there is no other product that I am aware of that has the built-in action-based logic for different matter types like ActionStep has.

Comentários: Excellent. Has made us a very efficient and effective firm, and that was important for a start-up.

Vantagens: Ability to generate documentation. Could-based (no servers needed). Document management. Trust accounting works very well.

Desvantagens: Interface with Xero is a bit clunky. A bit complex when trying to set up new Action Types.

Comentários: We are not a law firm but a legal support services company. It has been very helpful in providing our clients with the support they need.

Vantagens: Ease of use and ability to search entire site.

Desvantagens: It meets our needs, so I really don't have any complaints.

Comentários: We moved 4 staff and ~ 70 active matters from LEAP to Actionstep and could not be more pleased.
We transitionedin stages, using AS for the shorter matters before fully committing to a transition. This allowed us to ensure everything work just right and gave staff a shallow on-ramp for the new system.

Vantagens: $60 per month per user, compared to $197 per user per month for LEAP. That's it's 100% browser based and it integrates with Xero, Dropbox, Gmail and MS Office. It's incredibly customisable and workflows rock.

Desvantagens: On the desktop, nothing really - it's doing everything we wanted.
The mobile IOS app is in alpha and needs serious attention to bring it up to par with the LEAP equivalent.

Vantagens: I love how easy it was to learn. It's been very easy to teach to interns as well. They have no problem navigating after using for a day or two.

Desvantagens: I don't personally have any negatives about the software.

Comentários: Five years ago I had what many thought was a mid life crisis when I upped stumps from a firm where I was the longest standing partner and decided to go alone. The first decision this IT illiterate had to make was what software would I use to help run my new firm. I considered everything from a bureau service to a server based system . By luck I chose ActionStep. At that point I had 2 users neither of whom had any experience with a cloud based system let alone ActionStep. Next month I will have 10 including my wife and our accountant
Fortunately for us we had a dream run with ActionStep and every day we find another feature which helps us run an efficient and profitable firm . For a 50 (odd) year old who before he went it alone was still completing time sheets manually the software has been a breeze to operate and better still a highly effective low entry and ongoing cost option

Vantagens: The interface is very user friendly and easy to navigate throughout the program. The workflows are very customizable and you can really tailor everything the way you would like it.

Desvantagens: For a small law firm, the customization process can be a pretty big undertaking for one person. If you don't have someone completely devoted to the customizing process, it can take a lot of time and effort. Actionstep does have a very helpful customer service team that is always willing to help.

Comentários: ActionStep has many interesting features and theoretically it can help you run your practice. The software, however, is incredible cluncky. There is nothing intuitive about ActionStep and the support team is apathetic and unhelpful.

Vantagens: The software has some powerful features.

Desvantagens: The support is terrible. Unless you have the resources to dedicate an FTE to working on implementation, getting ActionStep up and running is a nightmare. Rather than help you, if you call with questions, the staff is consistently annoyed and will often send you an outdated video as opposed to answering your questions

Vantagens: We have been looking for something like Actionstep for decades! Great app. Works from a browser and integrates with GSuite, ASANA etc. Great search and easy to use.

Desvantagens: Maybe a bit better and modern interface.

Comentários: Yje integration of time/trust/workflow is good. The integration with outside products can be clunky eg MS Office - only works with 2013.
