Good product and great customer support

Vantagens:

Comentários: Writing case notes was something that used to take a long time and required me to create a whole new note every time. Thanks to TherapyNotes I can create and reuse a template to save time and make notes more organized and easy to read. I love the fact that the notes are all stored in one location that I can quickly access regardless of whether I’m on my desktop computer at home or through my smartphone when I’m out in the community. The software also makes it easy to filter through in order to find specific notes which is very convenient.

Vantagens:

It makes writing case notes a breeze for mental health practitioners. It allows me to store all my case notes in one convenient place. This makes it really easy to access them whenever I need to and it also allows me to quickly filter through them to find any specific note I need to access.

Desvantagens:

The price is quite steep for solo practitioners.

Not for prescribers

Comentários: Not the worst but by far not the best either. Will be switching to a different system soon.

Vantagens:

Great therapy note template. Ease of charging copays to client. Easily pull in intake information, however some of the intake is pyschotherapy based and not medication provider based.

Desvantagens:

Medication provider notes are all free text. The system constantly lags no matter what intenet connection I use or that I clear my internet history and cache daily. Tech support tells me that the lag is me and my connection. Sending prescriptions is a nightmare, the tab to aend prescriptions will disappear and then reappear and then that tab takes 2-3 minutes to load. Then if a prescription does not go through since this does not communicate with therapy notes there is no notification.

Never got to see it's full potential!

Comentários: I had a trial with therapy notes that was extended to 6 months. With my schedule being as busy as it is, it was hard for me to transition from my current EHR because of the steep learning curve. I found myself watching YouTube videos and their tutorials trying to figure certain things out. I did not complete onboarding because it took up too much of my time.

Vantagens:

It is a customizable EHR which is what I was looking for.

Desvantagens:

It was hard to set up, there is a learning curve, difficult to navigate initially.

Great for most therapists, not customizable enough for me

Comentários: I first used therapy notes as a staff clinician at a group practice. When I opened my own therapy practice, I started with Therapy Notes since I was familiar with the platform and generally liked them. I found the support team very helpful in getting me setup. TherapyNotes was easy for both me and my clients to use which was a plus. The biggest reason I ultimately chose a different platform was because I wanted more freedom and flexibility with my documentation such as intake paperwork and notes. The templates in TherapyNotes offered minimal customization and that was ultimately a dealbreaker for me.

Vantagens:

Very user friendly on both the clinician and client end. Affordable, especially for a smaller practice. Support team was great! Very responsive and helpful.

Desvantagens:

I wanted forms that were more customizable. This was the biggest reason that I changed platforms. I appreciated that the standard forms included necessary information, but they were not customizable enough for my specific niche/client population.

PMHNP friendly EHR, pricey e-Rx fees

Comentários: Overall I would highly recommend this software. I only practice part time so I am frugal and try to keep my cost low as possible, but if you do not mind spending $780 a year to prescribe then you should be satisfied with this EHR.

Vantagens:

I loved the ease of set up. The importation of patient information from another EHR was quick. They have a to-do list on the initial screen that walks you through each step to set everything up as well. It assures you do not forget anything. When you log in the to-do list will appear so you can stay on top of tasks. I loved the integration of telehealth into the system and the charting template. You can also easily upload and share documents with patients. The customer service is great. They are really responsive and follow up to make sure that everything is good to go. They also personally reached out to see how I was enjoying the EHR which was nice. What I was really impressed with was how fast they set up the e-Rx and EPCS features. It takes other EHRs forever to get this done, especially the EPCS but they set both up in less than a week. They also assisted with setting up the PMP for my state. You can add multiple locations if you practice in more than one place which is really neat.

Desvantagens:

The cost of the e-prescribe feature. At the time of this review it is currently $65/ month in addition to the base cost of the EHR. This is expensive compared to similar softwares. They should consider a one time set up fee for EPCS and lowering the cost of prescribing.

Regretting Choosing Therapy Notes

Comentários: I have been happy with the salesman and I think that he has tried to assist me the best he can but is confined by powers higher than he. I get the need to raise the prices but to go back on the original deal, I am sorry that I have chosen this software.

Vantagens:

The salesman was very knowledgeable and I liked that it was only for mental health. There are many features such as the telehealth, credit card processing and the client portal that was very attractive.

Desvantagens:

They sold me on Therapy Notes with one price, then they back tracked on some pricing for supervisors. I complained and then they honored the original sale. Then before I had it for 30 days, they raised all the prices and went back on the original deal of not charging for supervisors. I have complained and they are sorry for my frustration but it remains the same - they sold me pricing on the software and then changed it all within 30 days. I am not happy.

Comentários: Overall positive experience over the past 3 years; it is very easy to use

I wish the intake note was more comprehensive and directive; rather than just open text

When I conducted telehealth sessions the system would freeze a lot and was pretty inconsistent.

Reliable, Secure, Comprehensive, and always adding new features. The Customer Service is the best I have ever experienced with any company ever! Wouldn't ever go anywhere else!

TherapyNotes is Great

Comentários: Everything is great with TherapyNotes.

Vantagens:

TherapyNotes provides everything I need for EHR management, billing, and telehealth. Their customer service is excellent. You may have to wait a bit on the phone, but the wait time has been short and the customer service/provider services representatives are knowledgeable, patient, understandable, and will remain on the call for as long as you need. The monthly price is very reasonable and lower than some other EHR services i researched.

Desvantagens:

There is no provision for couples, families, or groups using different devices for telehealth. I have to use another telehealth provider for these sessions.

Accurate and accessible information

Comentários: What I like best is that a human answers the phone and knows what they are talking about.
Also, I have a lot of balls in the air- it helps me keep my practice organized.

Vantagens:

The person who answers the phone can help me 90% of the time. If they can't help me they transfer me to someone who can.

Desvantagens:

It was a learning curve to get set up in the beginning.

Therapy Notes Review

Comentários: Therapy Notes has been invaluable to me in helping setting up and running my administrator’s therapy business. We are almost a year in business and we wouldn’t have been able to succeed without Therapy Notes.

Vantagens:

The support staff is amazing. They are always friendly and extremely capable. They are also available 24/7.

Desvantagens:

I haven’t found anything I don’t like about Therapy Notes.

If you are not using Therapynotes, you are missing out

Comentários: It is rare that you can find customer service of this quality in anything anymore. A real person, not an chatbot that can only answer concrete questions, no language barriers or "boxed" answers sending you down a rabbit hole. A real person responds quickly with simple and easy to implement instructions on any issue. I am not tech savvy and have never had any problems implementing all aspects of this platform. I have been in healthcare for nearly 40 years and have never seen such a truly wonderful product.

Vantagens:

I have used TN for 10 years without one single negative experience. The customer service is incredible, fast, through answers to any issue. This was especially appreciated when I opened my private practice and was using TN for the first time. The customer service has remained excellent in my ten years as a customer. Scheduling, EMR, billing and accounting are just so easy, anyone can do it.

Desvantagens:

The only thing I wish they would add is an automatic transfer of discontinued medication into a past med trial section. That would be really helpful, so that you don't have to review your notes to see what your prescribed in the past.

Therapy Notes

Comentários: Overall, it’s a great system, and I know the video issue is temporary but super important since I’m a telehealth provider.

Vantagens:

The ease at working within the system is a great feature. It’s very user friendly.

Desvantagens:

Right now, w the upgrades, the video portion is a challenge.

TherapyNotes is unable to provide the service we are paying for!

Vantagens:

The platform has been relatively easy to use and cost effective. They do have glitches at times where the telehealth platform doesn’t work. I know it’s their platform because I am able to leave and use zoom or Psych Today with ease when this happens.

Desvantagens:

TherapyNotes has not handled the situation with Change Healthcare in a way that makes business sustainable for providers. They have waited to change clearinghouses when other EHR’s have been able to do it all due to their ancient coding and inability to pivot as every other EHR in the country did in days or just a week or so following the attack. When voicing our opinion about how they continue to charge us our monthly fees while not providing the service we need and signed up for they refuse to take ownership of the issue and are trying to silence us from voicing our opinions on the matter. I have been blocked from their facebook group for bringing attention to the issue. They continue to make promises that they are working on the inability to file claims through their platform yet there is no solutions. Other software platforms are doing it and have been. This business is doing just fine taking our money for monthly subscriptions while we individual providers continue to struggle. They cannot be trusted.

One Stop Shopping~ A great concept!

Comentários: Several years ago I was providing services for people who had litigation/disability/workers comp. issues and the format and ease to send documents was critical in meeting their needs. As well as CYA as a clinician. (No small concern in this day and age.) Within the first year of my work with TherapyNotes, they were hacked and seriously compromised. It was then that I encountered the outstanding customer service and support. They worked around the clock to resolve the problem. Their customer support has not wavered or even fluctuated. My previous encounters with EHR were through hospitals and agencies (since 2007) and, in comparison, I find Therapy Notes equal and even surpassed other systems .

Vantagens:

The company continues to grow, expand its' services and scope, without losing their outstanding level of customer support. Like many other senior clinicians, we have had to adapt to electronic medical records systems and billing after years of handwritten forms. The conversion has been daunting . When I changed billers last year, the fact that she could administer through TN actually deducted a percentage from her monthly fee. I am in the process of assisting patients in creating portal accounts so that I can use their telehealth platform. I've been with doxy.me for years and am not exactly pleased with their product.

Desvantagens:

Notes have to be completed before claims sent. This isn't always practical, although it does help with motivation to stay in front of charting. I wish it was easier for patients, especially elderly ones, for them to use the Telehealth without setting up an account. That in itself is a barrier.

They keep adding more features to make the platform robust and meeting all of our practice needs.

Desvantagens:

In the past, was quite frustrated with not being able to upload client insurances cards, ROIs, and and not having built in patient messaging, but all of these issues have been addressed.

Good product, good support and good price

Comentários: I have been very pleased with product overall. Recent "improvements" to Telehealth platform have created connection and sound related issues for clients and myself.

Some of documentation/charting workflows are rigid and To Do list personalization is limited.

The EHR is already fantastic, but it is also continually evolving to be even better. Customer support has always been friendly, professional and helpful.

Desvantagens:

I wish I had not waited so long to get connected to Therapy Notes. It has make my practice more efficient and streamlined so many of the tasks that used to be a pain.

Excellent Customer Service

Comentários: I have been nothing but pleased with TherapyNotes. Set up was easy and they walk you through everything. I was given a 90 day free trial and knew I was going to subscribe about 9 minutes in. Customer service is top notch. I am an independent counselor so I don't have experience with TherapyNotes for a group practice, but if the day comes I decide to expand, I will definitely reach out to customer support at TherapyNotes for guidance.

Vantagens:

Not once have I felt "alone" in setting up and using TherapyNotes. Any time I have a question or concern, the customer service reps are quick to respond. They always seem to have an answer and I have not been disappointed yet. They are quick, efficient and friendly.

Desvantagens:

Complaints from me are not a thing. I have been very satisfied with TherapyNotes. They are always improving and changing things to make it better and meet my needs.

Comentários: Excellent in friendly and knowledgeable support services, set up to keep me compliant, helpful portal forms (which they keep adding to, recently setting up a self-fillable option), allowing me to do notes, forms, scheduling, and billing all in one place.

Vantagens:

I like that TherapyNotes is specifically targets my profession and my needs as a private practitioner, considering that my skill set is in therapy, not computers. I purchased their services initially to help me stay compliant to current standards in the profession, but I also found them to provide friendly and helpful support, and they keep adding features that make my job easier. I love the constant innovation and the responsiveness of the company to user needs and requests.

I truly and satisfied and so grateful they're out there.

Customer Service

TN has a fantastic customer service. In the event that I have needed to reach out for assistance, TN customer service has went above and beyond to help solve any issues that I have encountered

Desvantagens:

When switching from ZOOM to TN Telehealth, it has felt a bit clunky with multiple A/V issues.

Just what I need for my practice

Comentários: Excellent. They have been very communitive and proactive during the recent cyber-attack that health care providers experienced across the nation the past few months.

Vantagens:

As a new business establishing from the ground up. I have found that therapy notes is very user friendly even for those with mediocre technology knowledge.

Desvantagens:

Would like TX plan templates to be a part of the platform.
