Sobre AdvancedMD EHR
AdvancedEHR: economize tempo e melhore os resultados clínicos com ferramentas integradas de transferência de dados, gráficos simples, prescrição eletrônica e telemedicina.
The price was good, the functionality was acceptable.
The e-scribing is terrible. Chart notes are cumbersome and become huge without essential integrations.

AdvancedMD is good
Comentários: Overall it was good experience by using AdvancedMD and I recommend it to others as well.
Vantagens:
Working in AdvancedMD is good and it's user friendly.
Desvantagens:
Sometimes there is glitch. Software becomes slow for 5 minutes. Again it will be back to normal.
AdvancedMD, a Ferrari running on Volkswagen beetle tires.
Comentários: My experience is very positive when using their telehealth (we are 100% telehealth) function, talking to the patient with the patients' depression and anxiety ratings displayed on screen, color coded, using the templates I built for our use-cases. Then when I go to the prescription function, if there are CIIs, things get frustrating. I now prepare the CIIs to send the day before, but that takes 15 to 30 minutes per day that I'd rather spend doing something else.
Vantagens:
AdvancedMD modules do what they were designed to do, and they do it in an efficient and well-designed flow. I had to have 5 third-party products integrated through the API of my last EHR to do what AdvancedMD does (1. send out and receive rating scales and display the results in the appointment, 2. conduct Zoom appointments, 3. have documents e-signed, 4. collect fees within the portal, 5. send out patient satisfaction surveys after our appointments and push the positive reviews to the internet). Other features of AdvancedMD includes the ability to create a treatment Team that can include outside providers, to whom notes can be automatically faxed, which is very useful (our best marketing should be our work). It also automatically notifies patients via text when prescriptions have been sent. The template system is very powerful. It includes the ability to create calculation fields. The final note uses MS Word merge fields, so in designing your final note you can pretty much do anything that MS Word can do. I designed our final note in MS Word to include the results of the depression and anxiety ratings scales in a vertical table on the left 25% or so of the page with color-coding by value of the answers against a faint background color from our logo color pallet. AdvancedMD is criticized for "hidden fees", but these are simply the costs of the modules one wants to have and use in one's iteration of AdvancedMD. The advantage of paying for the feature is that it works, and it works well.
Desvantagens:
Inexplicably for such a well thought-out and designed piece of software, AdvancedMD uses DrFirst to validate e-prescribing of scheduled medications. The EPCS function of DrFirst requires that one select each medication to be sent (Why? We selected the medications to send already...click, click, click). Then you have to enter a unique password (Why? We've signed into AdvancedMD already), and then you have to enter a 6 digit code from SymanticVIP (whatever) that expires every 30 seconds (Seriously?) tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. My previous EHR, which was designed to minimize engineering costs and was very inefficient, used ID.me on the phone to authenticate sending scheduled meds. Select the meds, hit send, enter the EHR password with one click because the EHR remembered it, and on the phone a column popped up, tap it, and done. Oh, how I miss those days. AdvancedMD also does not have a duplication function for prescriptions, so if you want to send 3 copies of a CII, you have to create each one, one at a time. Yes, once sent you can use the Send w/edit function to resend them, but that brings up 3 instances to resend into which you have to enter the fill date one prescription at a time. My previous EHR entered fill dates automatically with their duplicate function. Overall, I'm glad I changed from my previous EHR to AdvancedMD, but the DrFirst-based prescribing of scheduled medications creates pain every time I use it, which is many times each day.

The once mighty has fallen
Comentários: THEY were the best YEARS ago, but in the last 1 year, we have been paying more and getting less. It is exceedingly hard to get prompt customer service from them. I would advise seeking other options.
Vantagens:
WE did like its platform for efficiency, stability, and reports
Desvantagens:
We are a 300 employee billing company, pay a lot to ADVMD and can rarely ever get a person to help us with immediate issues. Sometimes it takes days to get a response. IT stops us from serving our clients
New practice
Vantagens:
Helpful staff and lots of features in the system
Desvantagens:
Weekly meetings for 3-4 months to set up the system

Solid System
Comentários: Overall, AdvancedMD is a solid software. They have a ways to go to catch up with current end user expectations to make the experience better, but they are dedicated to making enhancements.
Vantagens:
AdvancedMD's ability to customize your templates is very good. You don't have to submit changes you'd like to implement to their development team to get them done; with the right permissions you're able to go in and make any changes you need to and they are available immediately. It does however take quite a bit of practice and patience to learn how to fully customize word merge templates. Their customer service is pretty helpful and readily available. Some of the customer service reps are really dedicated to finding solutions and are willing to try any and everything to help you find it, while others are not. Their account managers are really helpful and truly do advocate for what's best for their customers.
Desvantagens:
As much as AdvancedMD is dedicated to enhancing their system, there are still some features that either need enhancing or don't exist, which for where we are in technology, could leave AdvancedMD lacking. For one, there isn't any marketing or referral data tracking in their Analytics feature. The customer survey isn't customizeable. Some essential features for telehealth are not there, for example an ask to mute feature. The connectivity for the telehealth feature could be better as well - we have lots of issues with patients and providers connecting to and maintaining their signal. If you don't have EDI agreements for electronic remittance, posting insurance payments is a very slow and tedious process with long wait times to navigate between fields. The online scheduling isn't truly integrated into their scheduling system. You have to create blocks and holds in order to populate the provider availability instead of it being able to see what's available based on the appointments that are already scheduled.

AdvancedMD is an excellent well integrated PM/EMR
Comentários: I have been happy with Advanced MD and it helps me run my solo medical practice efficiently.
Vantagens:
I have been using AdvanceMD for 6 years now. It is well integrated and has all of the software that I need in running my solo medical practice. It contains PM, Reporting, Messaging, Faxing, Patient Portal, EMR and E-prescribing. It is very customizable.
Desvantagens:
It comes with a library of templates for the EMR but creating your own from scratch can be time consuming. Creating output of finished notes for these templates can also be difficult, but once it is set up it continues to work well.

New User for multiple clinics
Comentários: We have installed this for a number of clinics in the last several months with more to come. After the normal hurdles at the start we are starting to really fly and our clients are very happy.
Vantagens:
Without question the people and support from the company. The software is very good as well but without the backend support is just another piece of softare.
Desvantagens:
A little confusing learning the AdvancedMD language. Differences in terminology was a short term stumbling block. Once that was cleared up all is great.

Medical Billers Dream Software, Find your codes quickly and accurately.
Comentários: I love this software and how easy it was to use. It has all the updated codes from this year I need to bill and submit claims to insurance companies.
Vantagens:
I like the search engine AdvanceMd uses, I can search by keyword or code number.
Desvantagens:
The graphics are a little outdated but the softwares functionality out weighs that by far.
AMD is NOT Advanced
Comentários: It was ok at first, but all of their bug fixes makes it worse...
Vantagens:
Once you learn your setup, it's very nice and organized.
Desvantagens:
Someone has to set it up properly, it's slow, half the time it doesn't work
Very disappointed in implementation, training and customer service
Comentários: I feel like I would have issues with any system, we cannot expect perfection, so overall it's not terrible. Honestly the most baffling part is the incompetency of the support and tech team. When things go awry, that is the point of a support team. We have been using AdvancedMD for about 8 months, I know more about the system than a majority of the people I have spoken to in the support department. If you choose this system, just know you will need someone very intuitive and willing to be a problem solver without the help of AMD.
Vantagens:
Basically everything our sales guy promised us we got, great price, features that we knew we needed are available. (switched from paper charting, so went in completely blind).
Desvantagens:
Their customer service is by far my least favorite part. The implementation team was terrible and barely trained us, anything I understand about the system is because I figured it out myself through hours of trial & error/google searches/etc. Nearly every question or system issue we have had has been left unanswered, and almost any time I've reached out to support I can tell they have no idea what I am even asking. - You have to understand coding to make a simple note template. - The notes OFTEN have internal issues that change the note AFTER its signed.- There is no admin level that allows editing of a signed note...even when its a SYSTEM error and not user error. - Reporting is a MESS and very unorganized and difficult to figure out. You have to pay extra to get another level of reporting for BASIC information.- Things glitch all the time, support never knows why.- Even though it is a
Not so advanced
Vantagens:
Reviewing charts was pretty easy in terms of navigating.
Desvantagens:
It would be nice to have more short cuts instead of having to click extra to get to a certain part of the record.
AVOID AdvancedMD EHR
Comentários: Very frustrating. Poor.
Vantagens:
Not much. Poor construction poor integration.
Desvantagens:
Almost everything is cumbersome, poorly directed, poor on screen definitions and problem trouble shooting.
Stay Away
Comentários: Awful and Awful.
Vantagens:
It is a good program, but zero support.
Desvantagens:
The billing company is totally absent! It has set us back months in establishing our nurse practitioner's practice. Please don't go there!
Over Promised and Under Delivered
Vantagens:
The integrated workflow included a PM platform that would have worked well for the billers and the EHR note templates were intuitive to the clinicians. The IT team seems very knowledgeable and helpful.
Desvantagens:
First, it only works in Internet Explorer. Not only does this limit you, but it causes problems as well. For example, each workstation has to be configured with specific internet settings before the program will even let you log into it. This is rather cumbersome for our practice given that there are ten office locations throughout the state. It became problematic when IE released a new version, though. Settings had to be reconfigured. Since certain functionality is not built into IE, downloads were required, and even then, certain links would not launch. ADP customer service informed me that it was a software issue on my end, and gave no assistance beyond repeating the steps I had followed. Second, implementations do not go quickly. At nearly every step, I had to wait three to four weeks for the next step. It wasn't because I didn't have the necessary data, but because that was when the next meeting time was available. Also, the configuration IT groups were not on the same page. Configuration was trying to give me a live date when IT had not even begun the conversion work. Finally, although willing to deal with the troubleshooting that was required to keep 25 clinicians and ten office staff configured correctly and to coordinate the implementation myself, I was not willing to sacrifice the efficiencies the sales team had promised. In the sales pitch, the cost for EHR was beyond our price point, and we declined to sign. The ADP sales lead suggested "EHR lite," which meant purchasing just the PM platform and using the templates and electronic notes available in the PM side. Since we have no MD, we do not need high dollar add-on functionality like eRx, so it sounded like a great option. I asked and the team verified that all the functionality I did need would be available in the PM platform, and it would just work a bit differently. Not so. As I got into the implementation phase, I was unable to create templates in the PM platform because my 2010 word processor was not an old enough version to work with the software. I manually created custom templates that customer service agreed should have worked, but which would not function as forms for clinicians unless they completed every note or report in a single sitting. As a solution, customer service proposed our clinicians finish all documents in a single sitting. No edits allowed. This is actually impossible for some evaluations. So no templates for us, and, honestly, even if they had worked, sales forgot to mention that prior note data and significant data like Dx would not be available to populate future templates. There was also no trackable workflow. Billers would not know if there were outstanding notes or when a note was completed unless they manually checked, which would have been possible because there was no way to limit access to the PM notes. You either have access to all notes (including office-related documents) or none.

Do NOT Buy!!!!
Comentários: I should have listened to my gut and stayed with Athena. They suck too, but at least we got paid and the functionality was more intuitive. We're going back as soon as we can!
Vantagens:
We liked the idea of having an easy way to communicate with one another about patients.
Desvantagens:
1. Buggy and slow program. Doesn't work well on Chromebooks. 2. Chart files located in different parts of the software so you have to log in to an entirely different system (the practice management) from the clinical side. Ridiculous! 3. Implementation was the WORST. I paid $5000 to these people to design chart templates (and I sent photos and details, no less) and they still screwed it up royally. Online forms still do not port over to the patient's chart, and I just found out it has to be done MANUALLY in 2022. FAIL. 4. Patient facing appointment scheduler not showing all appointments 5. Billing is slow and follow up is practically nonexistent. We have to institute all back end follow up. 6. No ability to easily input referring physicians 7.
after a good sales experience AMD is an absolute dumpster fire
Vantagens:
I liked the promise of granular reporting and integration as well as having choices in different credit card processing companies but none of it was true once the contract is signed.
Desvantagens:
After Advanced MD couldn't deliver on the promises of the sales team, they held us hostage for several months of our contract. We never even finished implementation because they were so bad. Despite this, I still get emails and calls (3 months after we fired them) from the data conversion team wanting to know where the next part of our data is.
PM is great, EHR is just okay
Comentários: Overall, I am very happy with the PM and "2-3 out of 5" happy with the EHR. Once you become familiar with the difficult quirks, it just becomes second nature. However, what is "second nature" for me now would be appalling to someone who is familiar with a most customizable, more user-friendly EHR.
Vantagens:
The scheduling part of Advanced MD is so intuitive. To move an appointment, just click, select "move", and click on the date and time you want instead. I like how you can customize the time intervals, color code appointment types, and assign each a default length of time. Adding a patient is easy. Making billing notes, sending messages/tasks, entering patient info, are all quick and simple. There are nice features in the EHR, such as being able to pull in medication history from a national database, look up pharmacies, customize acronyms and use pull-down menus to drop in often-used phrases.
Desvantagens:
Actually customizing the templates is quite difficult if you have not been formally trained by Advanced MD specialists, which costs extra. Trying to figure it out yourself online via training videos is next to impossible because it is not customized to your situation. Also, finding training videos to answer specific questions is also near impossible. In order to print a note out, you have to select a "WordMerge" option from a menu, then click several times until a word document opens up, which you can THEN print. Far too many clicks just to print out a note, in my opinion. I have not found a simple way to print out all of a patient's notes, so I end up repeating this process many times when an entire medical record is requested -- VERY time consuming. Advanced MD offers all sorts of conferences and trainings, but they all cost outrageous amounts of money, and most are in a location where you would have to travel to get there. I wish training was more accessible and not so costly. I wish creating templates were more intuitive and more easily done by a regular run-of-the-mill user.
So many clicks ... why are there so many steps?
Comentários: We often feel mislead or duped thinking back on the sales pitch. Everything is 18 clicks- EVERYTHING. Nothing is a one click done, its multiple windows with multiple clicks. Every feature is hidden in a menu in a pop up menu in 5 different screens that after 6 months I still dont know where to find the cool features I was sold on. The absolute worst part is everything is a pop up window. Forget about it on a mac. Nothing is easy with this program. We have wanted to back out and go to a different EHR 100 times since starting the process. We have lost so much money in claims, payroll hours of staff trying to figure out WHY -- WHY WOULD THIS GO HERE? Nothing is easy in this system. I knew something was wrong abut a month ago when money stopped flowing and I just figured it out. Our tax id is incorrect --- HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN? How could this slip through the cracks. Its so hard to be mad because all of the support is so kind and caring and they do their best. Its not their fault this system needs an update or an overhaul. The support staff is the only reason we have stayed so long. They deserve a raise. We pay over $400 a month for this system for 1 provider who prescribes. I feel like its too late now to switch again.I also feel like we are past the "I hate new things" part and this is really the flaws of the system. I came on THIS WEBSITE and it kept saying "easy to use". This is not easy to use in any respect.
Vantagens:
I like the customer support (after extremely long hold times) the most. All employees are local, caring and knowledgeable. The implementation staff that we were assigned to were awesome.
Desvantagens:
All of it. Pop up windows, everything is a pop up. There is no spell check when providers are writing notes. You have to refresh the window to see the changes you made. The system has a DOS feel. Very clunky.
A Decent All-Around Documentation Tool
Comentários: Overall, it worked fairly well for what we needed from it, and was more user-friendly than a couple programs I used in the past (whose names I can't recall). On the other hand, software bugs were common, and were harmful to productivity. Customer support was relatively helpful when needed.
Vantagens:
Every employee can use the same program, including both medical and counseling personnel. This integration means everyone can reference notes as needed from both sides. The note templates (text fields, drop-down lists, tabs) can also be changed by administrators as needed and as preferred, so if, say, a counseling assessment is found to likely benefit from new questions, those can be added as new text fields.
Desvantagens:
In constant daily use, bugs were common. Sometimes AdvancedMD wouldn't play nicely with Chrome, and the cache and cookies had to be reset. Other times, a note that may have been started while online wouldn't be savable if the internet went off then back on. The settings and personalization for users could be difficult to find, understand, or to make certain organizing oe aesthetic changes that would helpful.
Great Service, Feature Rich, Excellent Results
Comentários: We have been customers for over 12 years and I have never found a product that offers as many features, better customer service, and overall return on investment. It has allowed our business to scale efficiently from day one, and provided us with a vehicle for cutting edge features, at a price that made sense for our business every step of the way.
Vantagens:
The cloud based platform allows for very flexible use and collaboration between users and locations. There are many features offered and added each year, keeping up with the latest advances, efficiencies and automations. The workflows are well thought out, both from a clinical perspective, as well as the administrative and accounting workflows. Level of customization for reporting is unparalleled outside of building your own report servers. Customer service has remained consistently outstanding for over 12 years, with an emphasis and focus on the user experience. I've never seen help files that are as robust and updated as consistently, and the phone support is consistently awesome. Friendly people, user friendly product, great value for the price.
Desvantagens:
There are still specific areas that do not allow full customization.
Ease into EHR Try Advanced MD EHR
Comentários: Very positive experience just find it expensive
Vantagens:
Ease of use, everything in one place, time efficient.
Desvantagens:
To expensive for small business that are still trying to build themselves.
Terrible Customer Service
Vantagens:
Multiple screens available at one time is helpful. More functional PM than Health Fusion, but that's not saying a lot.
Desvantagens:
Customer Support is TERRIBLE! We were conned into believing that we would be fast tracked and set-up within two weeks. We had a lot of issues with getting Blue Cross Blue Shield set-up, and then e-remittance suddenly stopped after two months. This issues has still not been resolved 5 months later, and ADP keeps trying to send up to BCBS who says everything is fine on their end and that it's ADP's issue. WORSE, it's been 7 months and we are still not getting paid for Medicaid. We have called ADP multiple times, as well as Medicaid, and just today a Medicaid Rep took 5 minutes and figured out that our taxonomy code was listed in the box where our TPI was supposed to be. We called ADP, and they tried to tell us it was our fault despite the fact that we do not enter that info -- they do. They then gave us a run around saying that they only put in standard data, but extra stuff is our responsibility. What?!?! How are we supposed to know that when they don't tell us, and how is putting in a TPI not part of standard date? ADP made it appear that all we had to do was fill out our information, send it to them, and they would handle everything else. We have still yet to hear a response from our direct rep after 2 weeks. I forwarded the emails to customer service 3 days ago, and have yet to hear from them. My office manager called asked to speak with a supervisor, and the customer service rep said, "What are you planning to get out of that?" I don't know. An apology? Most of the reps have been just as rude when we call. You would think the system would flag something when every single Medicaid claim was denied. Or note that we've been calling and emailing since February. I use Practice Fusion for my EHR, and their customer service is much better despite being FREE! I wish they had a PM side, too, so we wouldn't have to deal with ADP, anymore. There's always Kareo, I guess.
Overall good billing software program
Comentários: I am extremely disappointed in Advanced MD customer service. I have been using the product for about 8 years. They market the product as costing less than provider which is not accurate. I have 3 providers in my office and I have to pay /month. They admit to their mistakes in the software codes, but refuse to work with their clients when Advanced MD's mistakes cause significant harm to a practice.
Vantagens:
It will find errors on claims prior to submitting them to insurance carriers. It allows for macro billing which saves data entry time
Desvantagens:
There are too many "add on modules" that you must purchase in order to get the functionality out of the program. There customer support is below average. We purchased an add on module that wasn't functioning properly. We noticed this 1 week after purchasing the module and made Advanced MD aware of the errors. It took them about 5 weeks to shut the program down and it caused financial harm to my practice and also upset many patients. The software was texting/emailing patients up to 16 times in one day. It was a significant error in the software code and Advanced MD refused to act quickly to shut down the module. In addition, Advanced MD continued to charge me monthly for the module even though it wasn't working correctly. They refuse to provide a solution.

Occupational Therapists DO NOT USE
Comentários: AFTER I signed a one year contract, my Implementation Trainer revealed she was a specialist in mental health. There was NO specialist in THERAPY. There were NO Occupational Therapy templates I could modify. I was told I could PAY MORE for someone else in another department to create all the templates I was promised and shown. The sales manager talked with me after several weeks and AGREED they could not and did not meet my needs. However, there has been ZERO communication after that. No return calls, no return emails. I continue to be charged monthly for a very expensive service I can not access. The unprofessional operation of such a large company is surprising and unethical. It is a breach if contract-yet I have not been released. The negative impact on my start-up company had been DEVASTATING, yet I can not get a response. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ADVANCED MD unless you are well established and not Occupational Therapy. I don't trust anything they say, as there is no follow up or consistently.
Vantagens:
Has everything for most medical practices. Integrated billing.
Desvantagens:
The software is great for software technicians and highly skilled medical office staff. However, it is NOT good for therapists. I was promised software that would have OT templates I could modify to meet my needs. I was shown examples of this. I was given a sob story of how they would hold my hand through the whole process. Unfortunately, the really was extremely different! There was no software to meet my needs. The creation of forms requires a degree in coding.
