Testing phase - so far it's been great for the free version

Vantagens:

What attracted me to Latitude was the free option. I really wanted to get a feel for what LMS has to offer without having to rush within times trials. I also like the pricing model with the 100+ users once the free threshold has been reached.

Desvantagens:

It is a little labor intensive as you are learning and getting accustomed to the flow. Once you've created a few tutorials, it gets easier to manage and navigate.

Does exactly what I need.

Comentários: Helps us track certifications for our training department.

Vantagens:

You cannot beat the price. The value of what you get for the money cannot be beat. 100 concurrent users for free is amazing.

Desvantagens:

I wish the reporting was a little bit better. I would love to be able to see better stats regarding questions missed on tests.

I have used this software to complete online training.

Vantagens:

Latitude Learning is easy to use and user friendly. I easily followed the links to complete the training.

Desvantagens:

The only issue I had was that it was not clear that my training was complete and I may have completed it twice to be sure it was done.

Simple LMS for small projects

Vantagens:

If you are in need of an LMS to show your portfolio or just as a sample, then the free small version of Latitute Learning LMS is great. It has a simple but effective amount of features which work perfectly for simple needs.

Desvantagens:

Obviously, for the price it is basic but if you only need this for showing a portfolio or small-scale courses, then this is great.

A wonderful experience using this software

Vantagens:

I loved how easy it was to use and how it explained everything clearly. I really felt like I knew what I was doing by the time I was done.

Desvantagens:

At some points I thought it explained things too much, but some people may need this. I just feel like everyone may not need things spelled out for them so much.

A Pioneer in Learning who Fell Behind

Comentários: It was my first foray into online learning platforms, I learned what worked for me and what didn't. I learned some of the ins and outs of creating an online learning platform.

Vantagens:

I like LatitudeLearning for what they were a few years ago: a pioneer in online learning platforms. They had a feature-rich platform that met my expectations for a learning platform back then.

Desvantagens:

The platform hasn't evolved fast enough to keep up with new competitors. There are platforms available now for less than LatitudeLearning with a broader (and more useful) feature set. Creating and launching courses is much simpler in other platforms. In short: they've fallen behind.

From a trial period, I knew it was great product

Vantagens:

The Easability makes it great for anyone who doesn't know the system to pick up and run with it quickly and effectively.

Desvantagens:

It may not have all the bells and whistles of some of the competitors - but many times I wouldn't use those features anyways

It looks pleasing and may be easier to use, but no longer meets our needs.

Desvantagens:

We need trainings like those offered under the old system (compliance trainings). If I had time to create them, I could use any platform.

Simple and easy to use!

Comentários: Training benefits with an already existing and working software.

Vantagens:

It already has some curated training. Why re-invent the wheel when you have training available. This is awesome for small business owners.

Desvantagens:

The interface is a little old-school, however, it does the job, so no biggie. It would be nice if it had a tutorial in terms of how to find things too. But overall, this is a great product.

As a freeware option, everything is left to the user in terms of set up. You get what you pay for

Comentários: As a freeware option, it was a simple introduction to an LMS before investing in a platform to be used on an Enterprise level.

Vantagens:

Free LMS option and easy to use on a simple level. Access for users is straight forward via the url. Many found it accessible on a mobile device as well.

Desvantagens:

Lacks integration functionality with HRMS applications. Difficult to upload files containing audio of video files.

Latitude Deserves Five Stars

Comentários: I run a training and development firm which specializes in Customer Focus and Service Excellence. It is critical that we practice what we teach. The same must be true for any strategic partners we work with. When we launched our web-based customer experience certification training program we needed an LMS provider that exemplified our service values because to our customers the learning interface is us. After a lot of searching I found Latitude. They have been my valued partner for over four years. The bottom line is that I can count on them for help and support when I need it. Their account executives are focused on understanding my business, tailoring what they offer to help me achieve my objectives and focused on building strong relationships not how much they can get in fees. The Latitude system is pretty user friendly but you can't be a novice. You need to have reasonable analytical skills and a basic understanding of HTML is helpful if you want to figure out how to take advantage all the system has to offer. The good news is if you get stuck, you can access a pretty good library of training resources or purchase the support you need at a very fair price. The best measure of a Company's service capability is when something goes wrong. Since I have been working with my partners at Latitude I have come to depend on the tremendous reliability of their technology. That is until 3 days before Christmas 2014 when one of my clients informed me that there was a major problem with my portal. All of the extensive customization we had brought to our portal was gone. I called the service team, they jumped on the problem immediately and within less than an hour all was resolved. The service person followed-up up with me to ensure I was content as did my account managers one who was away and the other who was home sick. When it comes to technology, nothing is perfect and things can go wrong. It is naive to think otherwise. So when you get this kind of rapid response and follow-through when there is a catastrophe it only proves how good a partner they are. The other thing I like about my partners is that they are continually looking for ways to make their system more user friendly, responsive to client needs and adding new bells and whistles. I am so pleased with Latitude that I have referred colleagues and clients. If you need a robust, comprehensive and reliable learning management system, Look No Further Than Latitude.

An overall good experience: good LMS, great customer support

The LMS is very reliable The support staff are superb at resolving issues and very friendly Latitude seriously values its clients' input and works hard to provide them with the features they want

Desvantagens:

The interface and system design are sometimes user-unfriendly, but Latitude is working to make both better The interface also looks dated but that's also something Latitude is working to fix

User Friendly

Vantagens:

LatitudeLearning provides Great Customer Support. Easy implementation and customization. User testing was great too.

Desvantagens:

LatitudeLearning was kind of expensive to buy/subscribe. I'd recommend they come up with a more cost friendly option.

A robust LMS

Vantagens:

Ease of use, structure of system fits organizational design of a business, easy to upload content and deploy coursework

Desvantagens:

Batch User Import can be a struggle to get it right, once you do it's a great tool that can save time

When I was primary admin all went well, we shifted with growth and I moved training, all seems fine

Vantagens:

It is intuitive and easy to set up, assign users and the ease of use and access for self training works well.

Desvantagens:

Of course us being a non-profit all costs are always our issues regarding budgeting, so the access to free is imperative for us.

Latitude LMS - Great software, great customer support

Vantagens:

The software is easy to use and the knowledge base if very helpful in learning the features of the software. Our company is small enough that we currently get to use for free and still get same day response when reporting issues with the software.

Desvantagens:

None come to mind. There are a few things I would like it to do but I feel maybe the feature is there and I just haven't taken the time to learn more.

Great LMS

Vantagens:

Vast functionality. Easy to roll out to multiple sites, administrators and users. Library of free content is deep.

Desvantagens:

Not immediately intuitive. Took time to set up before rolling to administrators. Users needed some instruction around how to access the content.

The program works well for basic functions, and getting started.

Comentários: I was able to get things started for my team.

Vantagens:

What I like most about this software is that it's easy to use, and understand. I was able to use my existing information and easily transfer it here.

Desvantagens:

The thing I like least about this software is that it won't be able to fully support everything my team needs.

Comentários: I had some trouble signing up at first but once i was able to get the correct account the site was great. I was able to use some of the courses as educational hours for work.

Vantagens:

I like that I can access online courses for free.

Desvantagens:

The content of the courses need to be updated. I believe I may have taken all the courses I can. There is nothing new that I can take.

I use it at work for Continuing Ed.

Comentários: I am able to obtain my Continuing Education credits.

Vantagens:

It's pretty easy to use and answer questions. The examples are relevant to what I do. The children are cute.

Desvantagens:

If you miss a question on the test you have to start all over again answering the test questions. It makes it difficult.

We couldn’t have done this without Latitude Learning!

Vantagens:

It captures everything you need in an LMS!

Desvantagens:

Mobile application of the LMS would be fantastic especially during this COVID era when our essential workers are constantly deployed in the field.

Vantagens:

The software is fairly easy to use, once you learn it. Overall Latitude is easy to use but could be more intuitive. Reports could be better.

Desvantagens:

The report options need to be updated and provide more options.

Latitude Learning LMS

Comentários: Overall, if you are a small business with less than 50 employees and you don't have any budget for your corporate training program, this could be somewhere to start. It is cost-effective (fee of zero but excellent customer service experience), as least you have some way to track employees' progress.

Vantagens:

Free for employers with less than 50 employees; Responsive and knowledgeable customer service representatives; Contain some open source lectures; Could upload courses, track attendance, and pull reports

Desvantagens:

The user interface is a little old-fashioned; They do not have a mobile app I don't believe; The open source lecture content format is old-fashioned

Despite several attempts to use the software, the courses never loaded.

Vantagens:

I liked the course choices for topics and looked forward to implementing the topics/courses into our program.

Desvantagens:

Unfortunately, I was never able to use the software to adequately comment on what I like most and least about the software. Even after speaking with Technical Support, there was no resolve.
